Hi, I’m Sahara Kaleem. Welcome to my site. I’m a theatre, journalism, and business student at the University of Nevada-Reno, graduating in summer 2026 with a BA in Theatre and Journalism and graduating in the summer of 2027 with a BS in General Business with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
My work interests and passions are in Acting, Singing-Songwriting, Radio and Documentary Hosting, and possibly as an Executive Assistant. I have a Receptionist and Customer Service-oriented background with some Sales experience. My current role is with Toyota as a Receptionist and as a Summer Intern with KNVC.
I’m open to networking and working with other professionals in the film and theatre industry with dream roles being appropriate, good roles only that I’d be comfortable working in like playing King Lear’s good daughter, Cordelia in a production of the Shakespeare play. I would be open to a film version as well.
I have worked in a supporting role, playing the Girl from Guam, in an independent film called Ditch, directed by my friend, Scott Griffiths. I have also played Ensemble roles in theatre in the productions of Ubu: le Roi in 2009, directed by my former teacher and director, Rob Gander, and a friend’s play, Damnear, Nevada, playing Ms. Muha, directed by Luis Galvez.
I would love to work as an actor at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre in Shakespeare productions, playing appropriate roles. I also aspire to work in films besides theatre with Steven Spielberg and M. Night Shyamalan. With my Journalism background, I could work as a Radio and Documentary Host as well. With my business background, I could work as an Executive Assistant as well.
I sing too! I have written my own songs for a dear, loved one that have not been produced yet with me singing along to the lyrics I wrote. I have sung in recitals, singing lessons, and on my own YouTube videos of covers I have recorded and uploaded.
